Mimi & Maggie is a company that makes whimsical and unique children's boutique-style clothes. The styles they offer are some of my absolute favorite among the tons of names out there. The vintage, handmade style of their sweet baby girl clothing just calls out to me, and I can't help but to love the adorable outfits!
Kaya was sent one of their new summer outfits, the Nantucket Island Romper. It's a simple, retro-styled baby girl outfit that reminds me of something my mom might have worn when she was a little girl. The colors are vibrant and the material is perfect for summer, 100% cotton.
Mimi & Maggie creates some of the safest baby clothes that I have ever tried. I love that their bows, appliques, and other decorations are all part of the clothing. For example, the sweet little shoulder bows on this outfit are tacked on to comply with CPSIA regulations (no loose strings). The button snaps on the bottom opening uses lead free ring snaps all tested to comply with CPSIA regulations. They are a company that cares about the health of your little ones.
What I like best about the Nantucket Island Romper is the vintage chicken design on the top, with unique hand-embroidered touches that really make the outfit one of a kind. The fabrics are all inspired from vintage handkerchiefs, assembled by the owner, Jo Anne Yamamoto. The materials they use are printed exclusively for Mimi & Maggie!
Here's my little Kaya showing off her new outfit with a little sass - the exact way it should be worn. "Clothing for Spirited Girls" is the perfect motto for them, and their clothes are inspired by the heart of a child.
The back has elastic for comfort and fit, and really ensures that my little girl will be able to wear this all summer long. The high quality means that this is an outfit that can be passed down and cherished forever.
Most boutique baby clothes have extensive washing instructions, and I don't feel like dry cleaning a baby outfit as soon as it's worn. It's impractical and a hassle really when clothes aren't easy to take care of. Mimi & Maggie understands that and makes their clothes machine washable and perfect for reality.
