I love the fact that they're green - but thats just my personal preference. I'm addicted to the color green. Poor Matt hates it. Aside from the color choice, they're very easy to clean and hold a lot more food than you would expect. The largest held half a pan of leftover lasagna - and I know it will stay good for several days!
So how does it work? After putting your food into the container, you press firmly on the container to push excess air out and to create a vacuum seal. Then you set the date dial to the day you put food in - no more mystery science experiments growing in the back of the fridge because you'll be able to keep track of when that meal was made!
When opening, simply lift the air vent and you will hear the air whistle in - releasing the vacuum seal. It's really that easy!
They have a raised, ridged bottom which means that food will not sit in the juices that drain out - so no more soggy fruits.

Another great thing about the Ozeri Instavac Food Storage Set is that they are all nested - the four containers fit inside each other, so they are easy to put up when not using them. Freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe - I think these just became my new favorite storage containers.
To buy your own Ozeri INSTAVAC Food Storage Set, you can find them on Amazon for only $24.95!

Wow, those look great! We, too, have been guilty of throwing out food that's spent way too long in the fridge.
