Relish! Menu Planning Service Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I've said it before, I am a convenience momma.  With a baby on my hip, a toddler kicking me in the shins, a seven-year old wanting help with homework, and laundry that desperately needs to be folded - I barely have time to think, let alone plan a meal that my family will actually eat.  That's why I tend to stick to the same boring rotation of foods that I can prepare quickly without having to come up with something new.  Tacos, meatloaf, home-made pizza, and spaghetti all hit our table several times a month.  It works, but it's boring.

I was given the opportunity to review Relish! Menu Planning Service, which is a program designed to help you choose what meals you want to make during the week.  It has several great features, including shopping list generators from the recipes that you choose, a coupon database to help make shopping a little easier on the pocket, and best of all - every gourmet meal plan takes less than 30 minutes to make.  Now we're talking my language.

For only $7.99 a month, you get menus, recipes, grocery lists, a mobile app, specialty menus, weekly features, and more.  Each week they come up with fifteen recipes that include an entree, side dish, and dessert.  You choose the meals that look good (like their Almond Crusted Chicken Fingers!) and they create your shopping list.  How easy is that?  And as if that wasn't enough, they also offer gourmet freezer meal menus, vegetarian meal alternatives, kid-friendly selections, dinner party menus and more.

My favorite part of this site is their awesome search function.  I like chicken.  It's easy to cook and the kids actually like it.  With Relish! you can search for recipes by ingredient and select whichever recipes sound good.  This really comes in handy if you see something on sale and you want to stock up!

Relish! recipes are easily adjusted to serve 2, 4, 6 or 8 people, and the grocery list is automatically scaled, too.  Perfect for us, since we only have my step-daughter every other week - I can make the same recipes and just scale them up or down.

So if you're like me, this is definitely something that is worth checking out!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I like this idea. I keep telling my sister we need to go through and have a menu and plan on meals accordingly to make sure we have all things needed. This would simplify things

  2. This is a neat idea, especially when you get stuck in that "What should I make for dinner" rut...

  4. I love this idea - but the cost still seems high for me (but then again - I'm a notorious cheapskate). I'd pay for them to come over and actually make the dinner ;)
