CampusBookRentals Review

College is expensive.  There's no doubt about that.  And the cost of textbooks is so high - my next semester's books will cost almost $800 through the college bookstore.  A tip I recommend is to rent your textbooks rather than buying them.  That cuts costs down drastically.  Want to save even more?  CampusBookRentals.com can help you save up to 80% on your textbook rentals.

I can definitely recommend CampusBookRentals, because I used them for my last semester's books.  The textbooks I needed for my Abnormal Psychology and Health and Wellness classes were going to cost $272 to rent from my college bookstore.  If I were to buy them, it was going to cost over five hundred!  With two kids, there wasn't really any way I could have afforded that.  With CampusBookRentals, I was able to rent those two textbooks for only $54 and some change - more than two hundred dollars in savings.  They were in great condition, and came with a package to return them in - complete with a shipping label.  That's right, free shipping both ways.  You can receive and return your books for free - and I'm a sucker for free.

No need to worry about keeping the books in pristine condition; they actually encourage students to highlight information in the textbooks!  So useful when you're studying along with your instructor speaking way too fast for you to take notes.

They have flexible rental terms, so if you have a class that only lasts for a couple of weeks there's no need to keep your book the entire time.  My college offers "fast track" classes that only last 8 weeks instead of the entire semester, so paying for a full semester of books seems a bit much.  CampusBookRentals offers 55, 85, and 130 day rentals - or you can select your own return date!  I loved that they emailed me 30 days before my rentals were due to remind me.

Oh, and do you have old textbooks lying around that you actually bought instead of rented?  Do you think you'll actually ever use them again?  You can rent those unused textbooks to other students through their RentBack program - and make 2-4x more money than you would by selling them back to a college bookstore.

Another perk? (As if you needed more to convince you to try CampusBookRentals):
For every book rented, they donate to Operation Smile!

So what are you waiting for?  Go get your textbooks, the new semester starts in a few weeks!

Disclosure:  I was provided compensation for this post, however I full recommend their services as I use them myself.  My opinions were in no way changed by the compensation I received.
