First off, let me just say that there is nothing in this world quite as refreshing as putting on a new pair of socks. There's just something about sling your foot into a brand new sock that just makes the world seem like a better place.  With that being said, let me tell you about my new sock adventure.

I've been in the process of finding a job for the last 3-4 months.  It seems like no one is wanting to hire a woman who has been out of the workforce for the last 5 years, even with as good of an excuse as being a stay-at-home momma for the duration.  Rant aside, I finally landed a couple of interviews.  One was with a bank and the other was for a counseling firm.  Even if they were dressy apparel type jobs, I am always one to dress up for an interview.  So I pulled out my nice slacks and a pretty shirt, got out my flats... and realized that I had no dressy socks.  

After hours of hunting at the various stores around here, I finally had to give up.  I couldn't find a nice pair of trouser socks anywhere.  I ended up wearing a pair of hot pink ankle socks to the interview because they matched my shirt, but I was self-conscious and knew that they said way more about my personality than was required for an interview.

That's the product description, and I have to say, they're right on target.  I tried a pair on as soon as I got them (see the beginning paragraph about my love for new socks) and I was in heaven.  They are soft and comfortable, yet let your legs breathe.  I just know I could wear these for hours without my feet sweating.  Gross, I know.  But still - they don't bunch up at the toes, they lay flat on my heel, and they have a delicate but sophisticated design that made me feel pretty.

I chose the Knee High Pattern Trouser Pack because I knew I would need a little variety in my sock choices.

 I love the argyle look, and the thicker elastic on the top helps keep them from falling down.  A huge deal to me, because I don't want to be adjusting loose knee-highs in the middle of an interview or conference.


 Overall, I am definitely pleased with Gold Toe and plan to buy more in the future.  I love that they have styles for men, women, and children!
