The Gift for Every Bookworm: Kobo Clara HD eReader

Disclosure: I received a Kobo Clara HD eReader in exchange for my honest review.

I love reading. There's no better feeling in the world than diving into a new fantasy world that only a book can offer. I'll admit, there are days when I get so caught up in a new book that I neglect housework. Some books are so good, I'll forget to shower! (shh, don't tell on me.) So when the opportunity arose to review the Kobo Clara HD eReader, you can probably guess how excited I was.

I started reading young. My mom tells stories of how I would wander around the house with a Dr. Suess book, reading to anyone that would listen. Now that I have kids of my own, I try to instill that same love for reading in them. We read nightly and take turns reading chapters to each other. They like their screens, but will gladly curl up with me for story time. The best part about having an e-reader is that I can put all our books on one device and not have to worry about pulling a bunch of different books off the shelf every night.

If you guys are stuck on what to buy for gifts, let me just tell you - the Clara HD is perfect for everyone!

Older family members that have trouble with normal book font? Clara HD’s TypeGenius offers customizable font options, which include exclusive weight and sharpness settings and the choice of 11 font types and more than 40 font sizes.

On-the-go friends and family, who complain about the bulk of traditional hardbacks? Kobo’s smallest and lightest 6” display eReader weighs a mere 166g! Perfect for fitting in a purse or backpack and bringing with you everywhere!

The person who spends all their time in the sun? The high-resolution touchscreen displays crisp-clear fonts to replicate a print on paper reading experience, and its anti-glare display allows for endless reading in direct sunlight.

The night owl? For those who like to stay up past their bedtime, ComfortLight PRO reduces blue-light exposure through the course of the day so they can read even longer without it affecting their sleep. By setting a bedtime hour, the hue of the light mimics the sun’s natural progression. Readers can also choose to manually set the light settings based on personal preference.

I love discovering new authors and new styles of writing. Every author has their own world that they write in, so each new book is like traveling to another universe. There are so many ebooks available on the Kobo website that everyone is sure to find and build a library they'll love - and the Clara HD has 8GB of onboard memory so it can hold up to 6,000 ebooks!
