Do you ever feel so rushed off your feet that you just can’t control your life in a way? That everything you do seems to be 100 mph, but the little things in life are the things you seem to forget about? It’s how the majority of us feel, because we just pile so many things on our plates, but don’t give ourselves enough time to actually deal with them. One of the things that can definitely slip, is the ability to maintain your home. If your busy schedule either means you’re barely in your home, or you have children rushing around at your feet all of the time, then we understand why it would be hard to maintain it. But, there’s nothing worse than coming home from a horribly rushed day, to a home that isn’t maintained and might feel as though it’s falling apart at the seems. We don’t want you to feel as though your home is failing, so here’s how we think you can maintain your home around a busy lifestyle!
One Big Day
This is all you really need to do. At a push, you’ll have to dedicate two big days to something like this, but once it’s done, it’s done! So, clear your schedule for one whole day, and focus on making sure that you can do everything you have needed to do to your home. If it’s the decorating that needs doing, then just dedicated one weekend to it, and we guarantee you’ll be able to get a few rooms of the home done. As long as you have the help of your partner or family, this is going to be so easy to get done. We also advise that you get a nice deep clean done. It might take you a few hours of the day, but once it’s done, it won’t need doing again for a month or so. Obviously, regular daily cleaning will still be a chore that you hate, but at least you’ll know all of those tiny areas are done as well! The best thing to do is write a list of all of the things that you wish you had done a long time ago, and get them done in a day!
Fixing Annoying Issues
There are certain things that are just going to be out of your control, and that definitely won’t be done in a day. So, figuring out how to fix some of those annoying issues should be on your agenda. For example, one area that people suffer a lot with is plumbing, especially in emergency situations. Emergency plumbers might not be cheap, but there’s nothing you can do to avoid getting the problem fixed if you have water spilling out all over your home. Anything non-emergency related, but something that still might be annoying you, can be solved with various different professionals, you just need to take the time to find the cheapest.
On The Go Maintenance
Once you’ve got your home up to scratch, keep it maintained by doing little task each weekend. All you would need to do is dedicate an hour or so, and you can keep your home exactly the way you would like it!
