I wrote a little bit back around Mother's Day about the Net Effects Brooklyn Messenger Bag (Mother's Day Beauty Picks) and I recently had the pleasure of working with them to review the bag. Not only are they creators of some fabulous bags - they are also a company with a mission to do good.
I chose the Brooklyn Messenger Bag in Apple Green because green is my absolute favorite color. I love that the style is a little bit retro. The whole bag reminds me of the bag I used to carry back in high school; I've always loved messenger bags over handbags.
When I'm blogging on the go - whether it's a family vacation, bringing the kids to the park, or bringing Matt out of town for work, having one bag to hold everything I need is an absolute must. Having one that comes from a company with a mission to do good? Even better!
The Brooklyn Messenger bag is part of a new collection of zero-waste bags and totes made by Cambodian designers for NET Effects, each one constructed out of repurposed pieces of industrial and agricultural remnants into a bag that exudes style and a confident sense of culture, social responsibility, and a well-traveled woman.
The Brooklyn Messenger bag is a little classic, a little retro - a full-size messenger bag. Perfect since I like to only to carry one bag with everything in it. My tablet, notebook, makeup bag, and a couple extra outfits for the kiddos all fit nicely inside and the zipper pocket under the clasping flap holds my wallet and keys, plus a snack for the little guys. There's even a little zipper pocket on the outside that my phone can fit into - so I really can use one bag for everything.
Features:
• Big enough to carry laptop or notebook, folders, and books.
• Large outside pocket for wallets, glasses and pins
• Small outside zipper pocket for phone
• Inside large zipper pocket
• Adjustable strap
Brooklyn Messenger Bag is available in Apple Green, Forest Green, Black, Midnight Blue, Rust, and Periwinkle Purple |
