When I first opened the box, I was kind of thinking to myself, "Kaya isn't ready for a game like this." I was worried that the logical thinking might be a little much for a just-turned-three-year-old. Really, though, it only took about two minutes to explain to her the basics of the game and she was ready to play it all by herself.
Believe me, she told me.
Very loudly, while pushing me away.
There are 48 different challenges in the game, and the main purpose is to keep the piggies safe from the big bad wolf. To do this, you have to figure out a way to hide the piggies inside (under) their houses.
Each house is mounted on a "puzzle" piece and then the little ones get to figure out how to turn each piece so they not only fit, but keep their little piggies safe.
How to Play
- Select a challenge from the booklet
- Place Piggies and Wolf in position on the game board
- Fit the puzzle pieces on the game board so that the pigs play OUTSIDE the houses when there is no wolf and INSIDE the houses when the wolf is around
* There's only one solution for each challenge *
I'm going to tell you a secret. This game kept her occupied for at least thirty minutes, straight. She was in there giggling, talking to the piggies, telling them the colors of their houses, and saying, "oh no, big bad wolf!" and hiding them as fast as she could. I actually drank an entire cup of coffee, hot. It was amazing.
