I remember going to the local ice cream shop with my great grandma and getting a cherry dipped vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone to celebrate National Ice Cream Day when I was just a girl. Hot summer days are the foundation of so many amazing memories in my life. I do my best to relive those memories, and make new ones with my girls and their cousins as much as I can.
Now my girls get to experience the same thing. I love it when special days like Ice Cream Day are just as important to them as the big holidays. When we celebrate, we like to get our favorite ice cream and tell our favorite ice cream stories.
