Take Control of Your Water with Clearly Filtered

Disclaimer: I received the following water pitcher from Clearly Filtered in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

When you have kids, there's always so much to worry about.  What chemicals are in their food?  What germs are on that piece of chewed-up gum they decided to pick up off the ground?  How long should they sit in a rear-facing car-sear?  Am I too stern?  Am I not stern enough?  The questions and what-ifs are endless.

You see, my babies were formula fed.  I constantly worried about what unseen yucky stuff was in the water that came out of the tap, so we purchased purified water by the gallon.  It only cost about one dollar per gallon, but when you're going through a gallon every two-three days, it adds up pretty quickly.  Not to mention worrying about whether or not the water contained fluoride, or other added minerals.

Now that they're off of formula, they drink plain water several times a day and I still wonder if they're being affected by the fluoride in the city water.

Thankfully, with the Clean Water Pitcher from Clearly Filtered, I have one less thing to worry about.

The Clearly Filtered Clean Water Pitcher boasts an incredible 6 month life span (or 200 gallons) per filter. You can be sure that this filtered pitcher will provide safe drinking water for your family, as it removes almost everything from your water

The Clearly Filtered Pitcher removes:

  • Chlorine
  • Lead
  • Mercury
  • Chromium 6
  • Fluoride
  • Aresnic
  • Pesticides/Insecticides
  • Harmful Chemicals + More!

You can see how it holds up to the top competitors in the chart below:

Before using the Clearly Filtered pitcher, I had to flush the filter.  This just makes sure that the filter is primed and ready for use.  There's a handy video in the FAQ section on their site that walks you through it and made it really simple.  They send a "flushing disk" that you attach to the filter and run water through it for 2-3 minutes.

Remember to run the water slowly for the flushing part, otherwise water will shoot back out and make a mess.  Yeah... I did that.

Anyway, once your filter is primed and flushed, just reattach the filter and the lid, and fill the pitcher with water.  The top quarter of the pitcher is reservoir, I filled that part and watched it slowly filter all of the nasty stuff out of our water.

I kind of expected the water to go through a little faster than it did, and ended up overflowing my pitcher while filling it.  The next time, I remembered to only fill the reservoir.  It took about 10 minutes for the water to completely empty into the pitcher, but then we had a gallon of clean, clear, healthy water.

My little guy is a water drinker anyway, but after his first glass he decided that was "the best water, ever!"  I love how crisp and plain it tastes - like water should.

Filtering your own water is a great way to save money, go green and protect your family's health.  The Clean Water Pitcher from Clearly Filtered helps you in a way that no other pitcher on the market can.
