Article writing is a great way to make money from home. If you already own a blog, you will already have instant credibility and a lot more exposure. Many companies and authors look for "ghostwriters" to come up with articles and stories for them that they can put their name to. Bloggers also look for posts to publish when they aren't able to meet their deadlines. Content writing is one of the most in-demand skills right now, and I want to show you how you can earn money from home by writing articles!

There's two main ways to earn income from writing articles online - either you can contribute content to other websites, or you can become a freelance writer. Keep in mind however, that if you generate enough income, the IRS will want to know about it. It is easier than ever now to calculate your taxes with free online tools.

I'll be focusing on helping you find websites that are looking for contributing writers, such as an article marketplace or relevant blog. This one is easier, because you aren't working on a deadline for someone else, rather - you set your own pace and sell articles you have already written.

Sell Your Articles as Guest Posts

Looking for a relevant, popular blog is a great way to turn your writing into cash. Many of the big blogs accept article submissions, and will pay you for your original content. While these may be harder to break into, they pay well (around $50 per article, or more!) and come with the added bonus of possible link-backs to your own site. These are some of my favorites:

Listverse will pay $100 for any articles that they choose to publish. The only catch is that they are a "top ten" type site, so all articles should be in list format.

The Krazy Coupon Lady
A money-saving site that helps others learn how to pinch pennies, KCL covers topics in the following categories: Style/Fashion, Home/Gardening, Travel/Entertainment, Family/Parenting, Extreme Couponing, and Finance.
