Capture Memories for Mother's Day: Polaroid iF045 #Review

With Mother's Day fast approaching, finding the perfect gift for the Momma in your life can be next to impossible.  Of course, you want it to be something thoughtful, something that she can use for years, and something that she would really appreciate.  One-upping your siblings is always a plus, too!  

This year, I wanted to get my mom something that can help her capture memories that will last a lifetime. Pictures have always been something that my mom has cherished.  That's why a camera is the perfect gift.

I was sent the Polaroid iF045 to review.  A 14-megapixel digital camera with two screens, the Polaroid iF045 is compact and  fits right in my pocket.   It is waterproof up to ten feet, which would make it great to throw in the beach bag for summer family trips.

This waterproof camera takes two AAA batteries and a Micro SD memory card (neither are included) and has a 5x digital zoom.  It comes in several colors - Pink, Turquoise (which is pictured here), Black, and White.  With two separate displays (a 2.7 inch on the back and a 1.8 inch on the front) you will be able to see exactly what you're photographing, whether it's a selfie or a family picture.

Now, I was a little disappointed with the quality of the pictures - the 14MP that it claims to be is perhaps stretching it a bit.  This photo of me was taken inside with the flash and seems to be pretty blurry and low-quality.

I had better luck taking pictures outside, as the natural light really seemed to show up better.  You can see with the flowers below, the iF045 picked up a lot more detail and made the picture a lot cleaner and clearer.

As long as you have plenty of light, this camera is a great deal at less than $45 at Walmart (affiliate link) and would make Mother's Day extra-special.
