Sammy loves educational shows and songs. Lately, we've been watching a lot of "KIDSTV123" on youtube because he likes to dance and sing along with the cute little phonics songs they have. I can't tell you how sick of hearing "A is for apple, A A Apple" I've been getting! Then we were sent Rock 'N Learn's Alphabet DVD to review.
Verdict? Definitely Momma approved. My favorite thing about this DVD is that they give a fun tune to the alphabet song; they spice it up so it isn't the same old boring song we all grew up with. Not only that, but they show kids different words that start with each letter, words that aren't in every other phonics song.
Here's a sample video clip to show you what I mean:
See? Isn't that fun?
Their product description states:
Children sing along with catchy tunes for each letter, play musical games, and learn old and new alphabet songs as they reinforce letter recognition skills, learn letter-sound relationships, and develop a richer vocabulary. As a special bonus… on the alphabet DVD version, children learn to print each capital and lowercase letter, as well as numbers 0 through 9. Plus, the recently revised DVD now features exciting animation.
And here's the best part. They are offering one lucky reader their own copy of the Rock 'N Learn Alphabet DVD, with an ARV of $19.99.
